Vote for your favorite professional sculpture! Snow Days Chicago visitors select the winner of the People’s Choice.
Snow Sculpting Awards Ceremony
Saturday, January 26
6:00 p.m. at the Family Pavilion Stage
Awards are given to the Professional and Chicago Public Schools teams. Cash prizes and trophies are awarded to the professional teams; $1500 for first place, $1000 for second place, and $500 for third place. Chicago CPS Teams are awarded medals for first, second and third place.
Snowboard Park*
Friday, January 25: 4 p.m. – 8 p.m.
Saturday, January 26: 11 a.m. – 8 p.m.
Sunday, January 27: 11 a.m. – 6 p.m.
On this special course with a series of obstacles, kids will have the chance to experience snowboarding for the first time with the help of instructors from Raging Buffalo Snowboard Park.
*This event is free for kids. All participants must fit into a size 5 or smaller snowboard boot. A parent or guardian must sign a waiver in order for their child to participate in the snowboard park.

Interactive activities for kids – and adults! include fun games in the snow! Games include:
Hockey Buckets – Toss foam hockey pucks into buckets
Winter Hula Hoop – Can you hula hoop dressed in your winter jackets and scarves?
Snowman Hat Toss – A winter version of “Pin the Tail on the Donkey”
Snowman Ring Toss – Can you throw the ring over the miniature snowman?
Snowball Spoon Race – Keep the “snowball” on the spoon as your race around an obstacle course
Snowshoe Experience – Ever try walking around on snowshoes? Here’s your chance to experience it!
Bean Bag/Snowball Toss – Teams of two alternate tossing bean bags or snowballs at a target.

Featuring students from Lane Tech High, one of the schools competing in this year’s student snow sculpting competition. Founded by dancer and athlete Cari Garcia, GR Crew is a group of young individuals with their own unique talents & dance skills but one common love- PERFORMING. By combining street-style dance with the traditional disciplines of dance and fitness, GR Crew promotes a positive understanding of HipHop & Urban culture and provides a living demonstration that hard work, dedication, and dreaming big all pay-off!
