AmeriCheer & AmeriDance Great Lakes Open National Championship

Expect to hear a lot of cheers and screaming at Navy Pier next month as cheerleading is officially taking taken over Navy Pier April 14th! Yes, cheerleading! So for everyone competing, make sure those cheers are great and we can hear!


AmeriCheer is hosting their Great Lakes Open National Championship at Navy Pier! It is open to everyone and not too late to register. This event is for beginners to collegiate levels. You can follow the link at the end of this post to find out more!

It is time to show off your talent and the other teams what you have! Consider it the showcase of talent! Dancers are included in this competition also. There will be a spring floor for the cheerleaders and a Marley dance floor for the dancers.

There will be different awards given:

  • Teams that score 70% or above of total possible points will be able to earn discounts for the AmeriCheer InterNational Championship
  • One coach from the Grand Champions will go for FREE to the 2012 InterNational Championship, where they receive trophy, custom medal and banner.
  •  High point champions receive trophy and custom medals
  • Division Champions will receive a trophy, champion bags and banner
  • All teams receive a placement award
  • All registered competitors and coaches receive a gift
  • WOW Choreography awarded at each event
  • “Show Your Spirit” will be awarded at each event
  • All individuals receive a placement award
