Borrow Some Wheels from Bike and Roll Chicago

May 27, 2014

Chicago’s tall buildings, impressive lake, and intriguing neighborhoods are captivating, but they lose some of their majestic quality when being viewed from inside a car stuck in traffic. Why not enjoy the same sights while getting some fresh air and exercise this summer instead? Look all the way up to the tops of the skyscrapers, feel the breeze from the lake, and stop by top-notch cafes to taste the local flavors of the neighborhoods by borrowing some wheels from Bike and Roll Chicago!

Bike and Roll Chicago at Navy Pier has all new bikes, roller blades and Segways available for rent by the hour, day, or week. Hit the town on your own or let Bike and Roll show you around and one of their unique and entertaining tours. Whether you’re into history, architecture, food, or general sight-seeing, there’s a tour for you!

Guided bike tours include a night ride on the Magnificent Mile, a presidential tour of Obama’s journey to the White House, and the popular Lincoln Park Bike Adventure, which takes riders on the car-free lakefront trail through Lincoln Park Zoo, North Avenue Beach, the Conservatory, and more!

Bike and Roll also offers a variety of Segway tours that highlight the architecture of the skyscrapers, Navy Pier’s fireworks show, Chicago at sunset, and the “Amazing Lakefront,” a tour that passes by Buckingham Fountain, Soldier Field, the Shedd Aquarium, the Field Museum, and the Adler Planetarium.

If you prefer to eat your way through the Second City, try one of Bike and Roll’s food tours! The Sweet Home Chicago Tour takes adventurers to some of the city’s sweetest spots; learn about the history of chocolate and make pit-stops for tasty treats. Alternatively, you can hop on the Chicago Bikes, Blues, and BBQ Tour to explore Hyde Park. Stop for a bite at the best eateries and see the University of Chicago, Osaka Garden, Rockefeller Chapel, Frank Lloyd Wright’s Robie House, and more.

Guided tours depart daily. Rentals include locks, riding maps, and safety gear. Group discounts are available, as well as a number of specials and discounts. For rentals and tour reservations call (888) 245-3929 or visit the website.

See you on the bike paths!
