Networking, networking, networking – that’s what it’s all about in today’s business world. The more connections you have, the better off you are. Sometimes it can be hard for businesses to find these connections, especially when you’re still small and working on just getting off the ground. Well, you’re in luck! Navy Pier will be hosting the Chicago Business Opportunity Fair on April 17-18 and you’re invited!
The CBOF has been around since 1967. Originally called Chicago Business Opportunity Day, it evolved into the two-day CBOF fair in 1969. Currently in its 46th year, this annual event promotes business relationships between minority-owned companies and major buying organizations. The CBOF is a great avenue for business owners looking to increase sales to private and public-sector buying organizations.
With over 250 certified buying organizations on hand and more than 1,100 participating businesses, this event will be a great channel for forming partnerships between minority-owned businesses, corporate America, and government agencies. Those planning to attend will definitely have a rare networking opportunity!
During the fair, visitors will have the chance to participate in various workshops. Playing off of this year’s fair theme, “Back to Basics,” the CBOF workshops will help business leaders regroup, refocus, and renew their businesses. Visitors also won’t want to miss the farewell dinner dance where annual honors will be awarded.
If you’ve never been to CBOF before, this is your year! Whether you’re looking to expand your business, develop new business connections, or are looking for new business opportunities for yourself, the CBOF is the place to be! We hope you join us!
When: April 17-18 from 9 a.m. – 11 p.m.
