What’s your favorite way to see the city? In the back of a taxi? From inside an El car as it winds its way through the Loop? From the deck of a Chicago River cruise boat? From the back of a bike as you pedal down the Lakefront Trail? From the very top of the Willis Tower?
There are tons of great ways to explore the city and come November 10, we can add one more to the list: during a race that starts and ends at Navy Pier! Come experience the scenic lakefront area on your own two feet by signing up for Chicago’s Perfect 10.
Runners have the choice to take on a 10K run or a 10 mile run. Both races begin at Navy Pier at 7:30 a.m. and then wind south through the Loop and the beautiful Grant Park area. 10K runners turn around a little bit after they’ve hit Roosevelt Rd. and finish up the 10K (or 6.2 miles) at Navy Pier. 10 Mile runners head further south before changing directions and heading back north towards the finish line at Navy Pier!
And because we want the entire family to hit that “Perfect 10” in fitness, the day also includes a special Kid’s Run! Sign the little ones up for the Bubba Gump’s Kid’s Fun Run! This 1/4 mile race will take place on the South dock of Navy Pier on November 10 and will be split into two heats: kindergarten through 2nd grade at 10:00 a.m. and 3rd grade through 7th grade at 10:30 a.m. Cheer on the kids as they sprint to victory! All runners, adults and children, will receive a special Finishers Medal as well as a commemorative long-sleeved shirt.
Chicago’s Perfect 10 festivities commence with the Quality of Life Expo in Navy Pier’s Lakeview Terrace. Come by to learn more about leading an active lifestyle and to pick up your race packet.
