The Footwear Event 2013 | Navy Pier

Get ready to gear up and put your running shoes on, Chicago retailers— the Footwear Event 2013 is on its way to Chicago!

Running June 23-26, the Footwear Event is a one-of-a-kind expo that provides shoe retailers and brands with the chance to showcase their latest styles and innovative designs at your very own Navy Pier! The event boasts multiple days of workshops instructing attendees on ways to improve their businesses; to check out the entire schedule of conferences and workshops, head here.

The expo will kick things off on June 23 with a series of Lace Up Local workshops for all specialty running shoe retailers. These workshop sessions will be jam packed with information regarding common industry issues, business management, and customer service.

On Wednesday, June 24, the day’s conferences will start up at 1 p.m. with Rafeal Mael who will speak about the Rules of Relationship Marketing, followed by a Panel Discussion. The day will wrap up with Sam Poser’s discussion on the Long-Term Financial Health of the Industry. Retailers are then invited to prepare their booths for the rest of the week and finish the day off with an opening night cocktail reception.

The trade show element of the Footwear Event runs June 25-26. Attendees will be able to visit with a variety of retailers like K-Swiss, Under Armour, The North Face, Crocs, Foot Balance, and Birkenstock, to get a sneak peek at the very latest shoes for comfort, running, active lifestyles, and more!
