Every child has the right to play; that’s the belief of Chicago Children’s Museum. No matter what their background, abilities, or familial income, all children should have the opportunity to play and learn in a safe, welcoming environment. That’s why CCM offers free and discounted visits weekly and monthly—to ensure children and families can pursue their right to play! You are invited to Target Free Family Night every Thursday evening from 5–8 p.m., and Free First Sunday on the first Sunday of every month. Thursdays and the first Sundays feature free admission all day for guests age 15 and under.
On a mission to improve children’s lives by cultivating a community where play and learning connect, the award-winning Chicago Children’s Museum has been located at the famous Navy Pier since 1995 and is the second most visited children’s museum in the country. Serving more than 657,000 visitors annually, it is praised as one of the city’s top cultural attractions.
A whole world of discovery, exploration, and wonder await! With three floors of fun, 15 permanent exhibits, and programming spaces, there’s never a dull moment at CCM. Dig for dinosaur bones in an excavation pit; splash around in a waterfall; use pumps, pipes, and pulleys to create a dam; hide in a treehouse; explore a kid-sized cityscape; drive a fire truck; visit a mini-grocery store; climb aboard a ship; and more! There’s even a designated space for toddlers and babies, so bring the whole family for an unforgettable group outing. Learn about science, engineering, nature, art, technology, and more in an environment that fosters creativity and fun. The museum stresses accessibility and inclusion, and the entire building is wheelchair-friendly.
In addition to Target Free Family Night and Free First Sundays, CCM also offers a variety of other discounts, including free admission for military, civil servants, and teachers; free and discounted field trips; admission coupons, and more. Visit the website for more information.
