Let’s Light Up Navy Pier!

Santa Claus

November 13, 2013

Looking for the perfect way to kick off the holiday season? Join Navy Pier in celebrating the Magnificent Mile Lights Festival, the largest evening holiday celebration in the nation! On Saturday, November 23, Navy Pier is the place to be before and after the renowned Magnificent Mile Lights Parade for even more enchanting light shows, family-friendly entertainment, and a special appearance from Santa!

Starting at 5 p.m. the front of Navy Pier will gradually come to life with a Light Show Spectacle, a tease of the real spectacle that will come later. As the Magnificent Mile Tree Lighting Parade winds down with the grand finale fireworks display over the Chicago River at 7 p.m., the Radio Disney Road Crew will entertain for an hour in the Family Pavilion with music, games and prizes from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Then at 8 p.m., come out to welcome Santa as he arrives at Navy Pier in a big way and watch as he lights the front of Navy Pier for the start of the Light Show Spectacle, lasting until 9:30 p.m.

The holidays are all about spending quality time with family, and Navy Pier’s Lights Festival activities are the perfect way to get you and your loved ones in the holiday spirit! Spend time making special memories that will be cherished for a lifetime as you and your family enjoy magical light displays and participate in all kinds of free, festive fun!

If you’d like to make a weekend of it, join Navy Pier again on Sunday, November 24, as we welcome Debby Ryan star of the Disney Channel comedy series “Jessie” for a public meet and greet! We will be releasing more information on this event in our Friday blog post!

All the festive holiday fun takes place the weekend before Thanksgiving on Saturday, November 23, and Sunday, November 24. Join us in celebrating the Magnificent Mile Lights Festival and make this holiday season one your family will always remember!

Tell us, what’s your favorite family holiday memory?
