We might be winding down Winter WonderFest, but that doesn’t mean that the winter fun at Navy Pier is ending! One month from now, February 8 -9, 2014, Navy Pier will be hosting Snow Days Chicago once again! This outdoor event will let you experience snow in a way you may have never thought of before. Snow Days will bring in 15 teams of international snow sculptors from six different countries—these are some serious artists! Come by Gateway Park to watch the sculpting professionals turn 10-foot blocks of man-made snow into amazing works of art. In past years, we’ve seen everything from a fiery phoenix to Batman! We’re excited to see what the teams of sculptors come up with this year. In addition to the seasoned snow-masters, there will be 12 high school teams showing off their skills in snow-wrangling and putting their best work on display! If you’re curious to see the type of sculptures these teams will be putting together, you’ll have to come down February 8-9! Taking in the artistry isn’t all Snow Days has to offer; there will be plenty of other family-friendly activities to join in on. At the Snowboard Experience, kids will have the opportunity to practice their snowboarding skills or even learn how to snowboard if you’re a beginner! It’s a great way to get your fix of this winter sport without having to travel to a ski resort. If snowboarding isn’t your thing, try your hand at snow-painting! Take to the snow with your inner artist and make something beautiful with our array of snow-painting tools. Both adults and kids can have fun with this one. When you’re done with your masterpiece, make sure to snap a photo and share it on our Facebook page! That’s just the beginning. We’ll keep you updated right here on any new additions and events as we get closer to Snow Days Chicago 2014 at Navy Pier.
