Navy Pier celebrates the rich tapestry of Chicago’s diverse ethnic communities in Neighborhoods of the World in Navy Pier’s Crystal Gardens every Sunday, from February 26 to April 15, 2012!
This event is FREE and open to the public. Celebrate the many cultures of our world-class city by enjoying authentic live music and dance performances, cuisine, art, and community vendors from different ethnic Chicago enclaves.
Neighborhoods of the World transforms Navy Pier’s Crystal Gardens into a premier destination spot for cultural celebrations that appeal to visitors of all ages. Navy Pier has collaborated with many consulates, neighborhood chambers, community museums, arts groups, and cultural organizations to produce this unique, performance-based series.
February’s celebrations include four spectacular Sundays filled with educational, fun programming and entertainment. In cooperation with the Consulate General of India and Indo-American Heritage Museum, the first Sunday of the series will commence with Amazing India on February 26, 2012!
Navy Pier is proud to honor Chicago’s ethnic neighborhoods and cultural diversity with this weekly performance series. Join us in the Crystal Gardens every Sunday for an afternoon of live music, dance, colorful costumes, authentic cuisine, folk art and more.
