Oktoberfest at Harry Caray's Tavern | Navy Pier

Oktoberfest may be a German tradition, but it’s also a 16-day celebration enjoyed by Chicagoans of all nationalities and backgrounds. Because what’s not to like? Beer served up by the liter, huge soft pretzels, bratwurst, bratwurst, and more bratwurst … sounds like the perfect kind of party!

We highly recommend that you get your Oktoberfest celebrations off to the perfect start by coming down to Harry Caray’s Tavern at Navy Pier for our two week bonanza of all things German, from Oktoberfest Lagers to that tasty little devil, the Weinerschnitzel!

Yes, while we’d all love to hop on a plane and score a seat in that most prime of Oktoberfest real estate, the legendary Schottenhamel tent in Munich, for many that remains a distant dream. So to sate the appetites of our locals, we at Harry Caray’s have created a one-of-a-kind party for those looking to celebrate on closer shores.

Running concurrently with the German festivals overseas from September 22 to October 7, our Harry Caray’s Oktoberfest offers up a menu of traditional German cuisine like the melt-in-your-mouth Bavarian Soft Pretzel with a side of sweet and sour mustard, the German Sausage Platter (with several different kinds of sausage, Camembert cheese, gherkins, pretzels, and a good hearty dark rye bread), and because there’s always room for dessert, an Apple Strudel served warm with a vanilla bean sauce.

And because German food isn’t complete without a good brew, we’re offering a number of Oktoberfest drink specials. Order a pint, stein, or liter of your favorite draft from Sam Adams, Brooklyn Brewery, and Shiner. Come on a Saturday and we’ll even throw in a special keepsake stein with your 1/2 liter order of Sam Adams! Coming with the family? Order a Bud Family Bucket and 100 ml bottle of Jägermister for $20!

The Oktoberfest party is only 16 days long so make sure you head down to Navy Pier before it’s too late! Prost!
