Super Bowl Sunday at the Pier!

February 1, 2013

Get ready to eat, drink, and be merry because this Sunday’s a time for letting loose and celebrating the end of the football season!

It’s almost Super Bowl Sunday, baby, and whether your team’s duking it out on Sunday or not, you know you want to party and everyone at the Pier would love to party with you.

Most of us here in Chicago are Bears fans, but we’re not letting a disappointing end to the season ruin our fun. Our TVs will soon be tuned to CBS and we’ll put our Mardi Gras beads on, keep the drinks flowing, and look forward to one heck of a Ravens vs 49ers showdown and a fabulous halftime show with everybody’s favorite diva, Beyonce (there are rumors even Jay-Z will make an appearance!)

Of course the best places to watch the game are here at the Pier!

Hightail it over to Harry Caray’s Tavern where the bar’s roomy and lined with screens and there isn’t a bad seat in the house! All season long, Harry Caray’s Tavern has been the home for tailgating fans looking for a place to celebrate a big Bears win and this Sunday they host the party again.

Order a football game day favorite, the Harry Marytini (Stoli Hot Vodka and Zing Zang Bloody Mary Mix with an olive, lime, and pickle spear), or stick with beer (Harry’s has lots of varieties on draft!).  And don’t forget to snack while you drink! Get Chicken Wings, Calamari, and a huge order of Harry’s Stadium Nachos to share!

Or soak in some football and cocktails at the Pier’s own tropical getaway, Jimmy Buffett’s Margaritaville Bar & Grill! You won’t be able to say no to the famous Cheeseburger in Paradise or the Queso Cheese Dip (you may even have to order seconds or thirds). And you know you’ll find something you like on Margaritaville’s extensive drink menu! Sample one of the best margaritas in town, sangria, punch, or the original LandShark Lager!

We know there are those of you out there who could care less about football. We’re not pointing any fingers, but if that’s you, then avoid the jersey-wearing crowds with a nice sit-down lunch or dinner at Riva Crab House or Bubba Gump’s.

We hope everyone has a safe and fun Super Bowl XLVII! Who are you cheering for?
