Chicago’s lead Rock N’ Souler – Bailey Dee found the rock and roll handbook and reads it right! Reminding many of Sister Rosetta Tharpe, with the sweetness of Lorrie Collins, and the ferocity of a young Etta James. A full band backs her featuring members of legendary R&B Chicagoan Andre Williams band and ex-Million Dollar Quartet.

Liz & the lovelies is the band of singer/songwriter Liz Chidester, originally from the mountains of Virginia. Moving to Chicago in the winter of 2013 by train with 4 bags and 2 guitars, Liz immersed herself into the Chicago music scene, releasing her debut record “People Pumping Pedals” in 2014 under CAU Dog Records.

Chicago’s Tangleweed formed in 2004 as a traditional acoustic folk and bluegrass band. The group has released four critically acclaimed albums, performed hundreds of concerts in every imaginable setting, and continues to push their musical boundaries, seamlessly integrating Celtic, jazz and African influences while still staying true to their deep Americana roots.

In 2002 a mysterious green iceberg was discovered by a band of unemployed pirates in Lake Michigan. Frozen inside were the Pickle Boys, cold solid in a chunk of sour brine. The DFPP were hoisted aboard, chiseled free and re-animated by the ship’s crude pirate scientist chef using a combination of spirits and pickle juice. As the DFPP awoke from their icy slumber they started singing and have never stopped.

Chicago’s Sanctified Grumblers formed in the Spring of 2009 when Rick Sherry (Devil in a Woodpile) and Eric Noden started writing songs together. Using only acoustic instruments, they usually play as a trio with either Beau Sample (upright bass) or Mike Hogg (sousaphone).

The group developed in 2004 when 5 musicians joined together to musically explore their influences of Middle Eastern, North African, and Balkan music. Abraham’s life journey has spanned the globe, which is evident in his sound. At his core, Abraham is a storyteller in the folk tradition with a lyrical breadth that fully encompasses a universal human experience steeped in Liberian roots. Driving bass notes juxtaposed with intricate finger picking establishes an African tinged rhythm that serves as a vehicle for Abraham’s message of oneness, reflection, and peace.
