Public Transportation

Navy Pier is easily accessible via public transportation, an affordable and convenient way to travel to the Pier. Several CTA buses service Navy Pier directly from Metra and other rail stations as well as “L” stops. Navy Pier is also a pick-up and drop-off point for several sightseeing tour buses. Seasonally, water taxis to and from Navy Pier provide a scenic option of getting from one destination to the next.

Metra

Metra commuter rail is a convenient travel alternative. Take Metra and then transfer to CTA buses to come directly to Navy Pier. Use CTA bus #124 from Union/Ogilvie Stations and Millennium Station and CTA bus #29 from LaSalle Street Station and Millennium Station. Visit www.rtachicago.com to plan your trip.
CTA

The CTA provides five bus lines serving Navy Pier daily. These are #29 State, #65 Grand, #66 Chicago, #124 Navy Pier (serving Metra lines from Millennium Station, Ogilvie and Union Stations) and #2 Hyde Park Express (during weekday morning and evening rush hours only). RTA

The Regional Transportation Authority (RTA) serves the Chicagoland region and provides a variety of different routes directly to Navy Pier. Uber and Lyft

Rideshare users with Uber and Lyft are encouraged to make use of Navy Pier’s designated rideshare pick-up and drop-off areas, located at the Grand Avenue Curb (west), Mid. Parking Circle (central), and East Parking Circle (east). See your preferred rideshare app for additional information.
Taxi

Navy Pier has three convenient taxi drop-off and pick-up points. One is at the west end of Navy Pier, serving Dock Street and the Family Pavilion. At the mid-point, Entrance 1 serves the west end of Festival Hall, RIVA, and WBEZ Radio. Entrance 2 serves the east end of Festival Hall, the Grand Ballroom and the Navy Pier Beer Garden.
Sightseeing Bus

Three sightseeing bus lines stop and pick up at Navy Pier’s front entrance. They include American Sightseeing and Gray Line Chicago, 1-312-251-3100/3107; and Chicago Trolley Company, 1-312-663-0260.
